Where LA families read up on their movers before they book

01 Overview

Glendale splits into two very different moving jobs, and we crew them differently. Down in the flats around Brand Blvd and the Americana there are mid-rise and high-rise condos with docks and freight elevators. Up in the Verdugo hills there are hillside homes on switchback streets where a wrong truck never makes it to the door. Both are routine for us.

Hillside Homes in the Verdugos

The Verdugo streets climb fast and turn sharp. Before we commit a full-size truck we check the grade and the driveway, because backing a loaded rig down a blind switchback is how things go wrong. When the big truck can’t get up, Sammy’s hillside crew shuttles the load with a smaller vehicle staged below. Stairs and long carries get paced, not rushed.

Brand Blvd, the Americana, and the Glendale Community

Glendale’s large Armenian community has built dense, walkable neighborhoods around the retail core, and we move a lot of families in and out of the condo towers there. Diana books the freight elevator, reserves the dock window, and issues the COI your building requires.

Pro Express owns its trucks and employs its own uniformed movers. The flat-rate quote is the price, hills and all.

We move Glendale

Our crews run Glendale week in and week out, so the parking rules, the access, and the buildings are second nature long before our truck pulls up. Every quote is flat-rate and in writing, with nothing slipped into the fine print.

02 Why us

You hire the movers, not a middleman

Book Pro Express and our name goes on the contract, our truck pulls up to your door, and our own crew works the ramp. A broker signs none of that — it flips your job to whoever bids lowest, then steps out of the picture.

Pro Express Moving
  • Our own LA trucks and full-time, background-checked movers — no day labor
  • One flat rate in writing, locked — what you sign is what you settle, to the dollar
  • The same crew loads your old place and unloads the new one, start to finish
  • CPUC household-goods authority and USDOT/MC for interstate, fully insured
  • A Los Angeles office and one point of contact from the first call to the final box
What a broker does
  • Hands your job to whatever carrier comes in cheapest that week
  • Surprises you with fresh fees and a new number once move day arrives
  • Puts strangers you have never spoken to in charge of loading your home
  • Keeps you in the dark about who actually owns the liability
  • Drops a call center between you and whoever ends up doing the lifting

04 Good to know

What Glendale movers ask us

I'm up in the Verdugo hills with a steep, narrow driveway. Can your truck make it?
We check the grade and the turn before move day. On the switchback streets in the Verdugos a full-size truck sometimes can't get up safely, so we bring a smaller vehicle to the house and shuttle down to the big rig staged on a flatter street. Sammy's hillside crew does this regularly up there.
Do you move the high-rise condos near the Americana and Brand Blvd?
All the time. Those buildings run on freight-elevator reservations and loading-dock windows, and most want a certificate of insurance first. Diana books the slot and issues the COI ahead of time so the crew isn't waiting on paperwork while the elevator sits idle.
Is there an extra fee if the move runs long because of the hills and stairs?
No. We account for the grade, the carries, and the stairs when we walk the property, so the flat-rate number already reflects the real work. A hillside move that takes longer doesn't change the written price.
