01 Overview

Santa Monica moves live and die by the curb. Between permit-only blocks, the crowds around the 3rd St Promenade, and the condo towers stacked near Ocean Ave and the pier, there is rarely an easy place to put a 26-foot truck. Our crews work this Westside beach city constantly, so we plan the parking before we plan anything else.

Booking a move here? LA County movers works this corner of LA week in and week out.

Permits, Promenade Blocks, and the Pier

For tight residential streets we pull a temporary no-parking permit from the city so a legal space is reserved at your door on move day. Where the block simply won’t take a full-size rig, Eddie scouts a staging spot and the crew shuttles in. Hector’s team pads elevators and protects lobby floors in the Ocean Ave high-rises as part of the job, not a line item.

Silicon Beach Offices and Pricey Condos

We move a lot of Silicon Beach tech workers in and out of the newer condos and live-work units here. Diana lines up the COI and the freight-elevator reservation your building wants, so nothing stalls at the dock. Whether it’s a studio off Wilshire or a two-bedroom with an ocean view, the same uniformed crew loads and unloads.

Pro Express runs our own trucks and our own insured movers. The flat-rate quote we write is the price you pay.

We move Santa Monica

Our crews run Santa Monica week in and week out, so the parking rules, the access, and the buildings are second nature long before our truck pulls up. Every quote is flat-rate and in writing, with nothing slipped into the fine print.

02 Why us

You hire the movers, not a middleman

Book Pro Express and our name goes on the contract, our truck pulls up to your door, and our own crew works the ramp. A broker signs none of that — it flips your job to whoever bids lowest, then steps out of the picture.

Pro Express Moving
  • Our own LA trucks and full-time, background-checked movers — no day labor
  • One flat rate in writing, locked — what you sign is what you settle, to the dollar
  • The same crew loads your old place and unloads the new one, start to finish
  • CPUC household-goods authority and USDOT/MC for interstate, fully insured
  • A Los Angeles office and one point of contact from the first call to the final box
What a broker does
  • Hands your job to whatever carrier comes in cheapest that week
  • Surprises you with fresh fees and a new number once move day arrives
  • Puts strangers you have never spoken to in charge of loading your home
  • Keeps you in the dark about who actually owns the liability
  • Drops a call center between you and whoever ends up doing the lifting

What Santa Monica movers ask us

Parking near the pier and the Promenade is a nightmare. How do you deal with it?
We pull a temporary no-parking permit from the city ahead of move day so there's a legal truck space waiting at your curb. On the blocks off the 3rd St Promenade and down by the pier where even that's tight, Eddie maps a staging spot and we shuttle in with a smaller vehicle instead of circling for an hour.
My condo building wants a certificate of insurance before move-in. Can you provide one?
Yes. Diana in our office issues the COI naming your HOA or management company, and we reserve the freight elevator and loading-dock window so the day runs on schedule. A lot of the newer towers near Ocean Ave require this, and we handle it as routine.
Do you charge extra for the drive across the Westside?
No. On a flat-rate move the number is written before the truck rolls, and 405 or 10 traffic on our end doesn't change it. We just start early to beat the worst of it and still hit your window.
