01 Overview

Long Beach is its own city with its own rhythm, from the downtown high-rises by the waterfront to the bungalows and beach blocks of Belmont Shore, all of it under a harbor breeze. Marcus spent years in warehouse logistics near the ports before starting Pro Express, so this stretch of the coast is home turf for our crews.

Downtown High-Rises

The towers along the downtown waterfront run on building rules: freight-elevator reservations, dock windows, and a certificate of insurance. Diana books the slot and issues the COI ahead of time, and Hector’s crew pads the elevator and protects the lobby. We confirm the logistics before move day so the load doesn’t stall at the dock.

Belmont Shore and the Harbor Neighborhoods

Belmont Shore is the opposite challenge. The streets and alleys off 2nd Street are narrow and parking is scarce, so we scout the block first and shuttle in from a wider street when a full-size truck won’t fit. Coming down the 710 or 405, we start early to beat the port traffic.

Pro Express runs its own trucks and its own insured movers. The flat-rate quote is the price you pay.

We move Long Beach

Our crews run Long Beach week in and week out, so the parking rules, the access, and the buildings are second nature long before our truck pulls up. Every quote is flat-rate and in writing, with nothing slipped into the fine print.

02 Why us

You hire the movers, not a middleman

Book Pro Express and our name goes on the contract, our truck pulls up to your door, and our own crew works the ramp. A broker signs none of that — it flips your job to whoever bids lowest, then steps out of the picture.

Pro Express Moving
  • Our own LA trucks and full-time, background-checked movers — no day labor
  • One flat rate in writing, locked — what you sign is what you settle, to the dollar
  • The same crew loads your old place and unloads the new one, start to finish
  • CPUC household-goods authority and USDOT/MC for interstate, fully insured
  • A Los Angeles office and one point of contact from the first call to the final box
What a broker does
  • Hands your job to whatever carrier comes in cheapest that week
  • Surprises you with fresh fees and a new number once move day arrives
  • Puts strangers you have never spoken to in charge of loading your home
  • Keeps you in the dark about who actually owns the liability
  • Drops a call center between you and whoever ends up doing the lifting

★★★★★

“The team, Marcus, Hector, and Andre were AWESOME! They were on time, efficient, and they were able to move a new 300lb bath vanity up 4 flights of stairs. All this was done with the utmost of care. The team was fun, and got the job done. We really appreciate it.”

What Long Beach movers ask us

I'm in a downtown Long Beach high-rise. How do you handle the building rules?
We reserve the freight elevator and a loading-dock window with your building, and Diana issues the COI most downtown towers require. Hector's crew pads the elevator and protects the lobby and common areas. We confirm all of it before move day so nothing stalls at the dock.
Belmont Shore has narrow streets and almost no parking. What's your approach?
We scout the block first. The streets and alleys around 2nd Street in Belmont Shore rarely fit a full-size truck, so where needed we stage on a wider street and shuttle in, keeping the lane clear. Marcus grew up moving around this area, so the Shore's quirks are familiar ground.
How far is Long Beach from your base, and does the distance cost more?
We run down the 710 or the 405 to reach Long Beach and the harbor neighborhoods, and the drive time is already inside the flat-rate price. There's no surprise mileage line on the invoice. We just schedule early to stay ahead of port traffic.
