01 Overview

Packing handled by our crew, not the night-before scramble

Packing is the job everyone underestimates. A three-bedroom in Sherman Oaks or a Spanish-style house in Pasadena holds far more than it looks like it should, and the midnight rush with liquor-store boxes is exactly how grandmother’s china ends up in shards. Pro Express Moving packs homes the way we move them — our own trained crew, proper materials, and a real system. We’ve done it across LA since 2013, and we’ll pack the entire house or only the rooms you don’t want to touch.

Across LA County, Los Angeles, CA movers handles premium moves on a single written flat rate, with nothing sprung on the invoice.

Everything comes from us: sturdy cartons, dish-pack kits for the kitchen, wardrobe boxes that keep hanging clothes on the rail, and the paper, bubble and tape to do the job right. Fragile and high-value pieces — stemware, framed art, the flatscreen, the mirror over the mantel — get custom-protected, not dropped in a carton with a wad of newsprint. The packing rides on the very same crew clock as the move, $149/hr with two movers or $209/hr with three, so you’re never charged a packing premium on top.

You decide how much we take off your plate:

  • Full pack — we box, label and inventory every room the day ahead of the move
  • Partial pack — kitchen, glassware, art and other breakables only; you handle the easy stuff
  • Fragile-only — the irreplaceable pieces get packed by us and you save on everything else
  • Unpack and haul-away — we open the boxes, place what’s inside, and cart the empties off

Every carton gets a room label so unpacking in the new place is orderly instead of an afternoon spent cracking open mystery boxes hunting for the coffee maker. Timing matters as much as materials — for a full house we pack the day before so the truck loads clean and move day holds its schedule despite the 405, and a small one-bedroom can get packed up and on the truck in a single morning. When our crew packs a box, it travels under your move’s coverage — $0.60/lb released value standard, full-value protection available, up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage per shipment. A $99 deposit holds the dates and credits to the final bill. Get my free moving quote, tell us how hands-on you want to be, and we’ll size the packing crew and the timeline to match.

What’s included

  • Our own trained, uniformed packers boxing the whole house or just the rooms you'd rather not face
  • All materials supplied: cartons, dish-pack kits, wardrobe boxes, packing paper, bubble and tape — nothing for you to source
  • Custom protection for fragile and high-value pieces — china, stemware, framed art, mirrors and electronics
  • Packing labor on the same crew clock as your move: $149/hr for two movers or $209/hr for three
  • A room-by-room labeled inventory so unpacking in the new place is organized instead of a guessing game
  • Optional unpacking and box haul-away, with $0.60/lb released-value protection and up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage per shipment

How we set the price

After a quick walkthrough or video estimate, we write up a single flat rate from the inventory you genuinely have — not from a clock ticking by the hour. Whatever the sheet reads is the entire price, with nothing tacked on afterward.

02 How we protect your move

Your things get handled like our own

Our truck rolls up already loaded with pads, film, and floor runners — ready to shield furniture, cover hardwood, and cushion the fragile pieces in LA’s Spanish-style bungalows and hillside homes.

Quilted pads

Before a single piece moves, dressers, tables, and headboards are wrapped and padded right where they stand.

Stretch film

Sealed against road dust and the LA heat, drawers stay shut and cushions stay clean the whole ride.

Floor & doorway guards

Hardwood, banisters, and trim come through clean because runners, rail wraps, and jamb pads go down before any lifting starts.

Built-to-fit crating

For mirrors, glass tops, framed art, and flat screens, we build crates sized to the piece — every corner covered.

Break-down & rebuild

Bed frames, tables, and oversized furniture get taken apart for transit, then reassembled once they reach the new place.

Straps, dollies & gear

Tight staircases, hillside switchbacks, and the heavy stuff all get the right tie-downs and equipment — we never cut a corner.

03 Why us

You hire the movers, not a middleman

Book Pro Express and our name goes on the contract, our truck pulls up to your door, and our own crew works the ramp. A broker signs none of that — it flips your job to whoever bids lowest, then steps out of the picture.

Pro Express Moving
  • Our own LA trucks and full-time, background-checked movers — no day labor
  • One flat rate in writing, locked — what you sign is what you settle, to the dollar
  • The same crew loads your old place and unloads the new one, start to finish
  • CPUC household-goods authority and USDOT/MC for interstate, fully insured
  • A Los Angeles office and one point of contact from the first call to the final box
What a broker does
  • Hands your job to whatever carrier comes in cheapest that week
  • Surprises you with fresh fees and a new number once move day arrives
  • Puts strangers you have never spoken to in charge of loading your home
  • Keeps you in the dark about who actually owns the liability
  • Drops a call center between you and whoever ends up doing the lifting

Questions we hear about this service

Can you pack only the kitchen and let me do the rest?
Of course. Plenty of LA clients box their own closets and books and have us handle just the kitchen, the glassware and the artwork — the breakables that eat the most time and cause the most worry. Packing bills on the same $149/hr or $209/hr clock, so a partial pack stays affordable.
Do you pack on moving day or the day before?
For a full house we usually pack the day before so move day stays on schedule and the truck loads clean. A small apartment, though, we can pack and move in one morning. We'll lay out the timeline when we quote, and a $99 deposit holds both days if you need them.
Are the boxes covered if something breaks inside?
When our crew packs the carton, it travels under the same coverage as the rest of your move — $0.60/lb released value standard, full-value protection available, and up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage per shipment. A box you packed yourself is the lone exception — we can't insure its contents against internal breakage, and that's precisely why folks hand us the fragile rooms.
